France has been actively developing and implementing cyber security policies to address the evolving cyber threats facing the nation. France has a comprehensive National Cybersecurity Strategy that outlines its approach to cybersecurity across various sectors. The strategy aims to protect France's critical infrastructure, government networks, businesses, and citizens from cyber threats. It focuses on enhancing resilience, promoting innovation, and fostering international cooperation in cyber security. The National Cybersecurity Agency of France (ANSSI - Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d'Information) is the central authority responsible for coordinating and implementing France's cyber security policy. ANSSI is tasked with securing government networks, providing guidance and support to critical infrastructure operators, conducting cyber threat intelligence analysis, and promoting cyber security awareness and education. France places a strong emphasis on protecting its critical infrastructure, including energy, transportation, telecommunications, finance, and healthcare systems, from cyber threats. ANSSI works closely with operators of critical infrastructure to assess risks, develop protective measures, and respond to cyber incidents effectively. France's cyber security policy is comprehensive and multi-faceted, focusing on protecting critical infrastructure, promoting innovation, fostering international cooperation, and raising awareness about cyber security threats and best practices. Through initiatives led by ANSSI and collaboration with international partners, France is committed to enhancing its cyber defence capabilities and ensuring the resilience of its digital infrastructure. As for Estonia’s Cybersecurity policies, it has gained global recognition for its robust approach to cyber security, especially in light of the cyber attacks it faced in 2007. Estonia is renowned for its advanced e-government services and digital society. However, with this digitalization comes the need for robust cyber security measures to protect critical infrastructure, government services, and citizens' data. Estonia has a National Cyber Security Strategy that outlines its objectives and priorities in cyber security. The strategy focuses on strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure, enhancing cyber defence capabilities, promoting international cooperation, and raising awareness about cyber security risks. Estonia established the Cyber Defense League, a voluntary organization of cyber security experts who support the country's cyber defence efforts. The Cyber Defense League provides expertise, training, and assistance in responding to cyber threats and incidents. The Estonian Information System Authority (RIA) is responsible for coordinating Estonia's cyber security efforts and ensuring the security of government information systems. RIA works closely with government agencies, private sector organizations, and international partners to address cyber security challenges. Estonia's cyber security policy reflects its commitment to protecting its digital infrastructure, ensuring the security of government services and citizens' data, and promoting international cooperation in addressing cyber threats. Through a combination of legislative measures, organizational initiatives, and international partnerships, Estonia continues to strengthen its cyber defence capabilities and resilience against evolving cyber threats.References
